Hwaseong-si Signs MOU with 11 Major Construction Companies to Revitalize Local Economy
Utilization of Local Materials and Equipment, Priority Hiring of Local Workforce
On the 6th, Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with 11 major construction companies in the area at the city hall situation room to revitalize the local economy in the construction sector.

View original imageThe signing ceremony was attended by Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun and key representatives from the 11 partner companies, including Samsung C&T. The companies agreed to work together to expand opportunities for local businesses to participate with equipment, materials, and manpower during the construction period, thereby invigorating the regional economy.
The participating construction companies committed to ▲ actively utilizing equipment and materials from local businesses during the construction period ▲ contributing to job creation by prioritizing the hiring of local personnel ▲ cooperating to strengthen safety management at construction sites to create a safe working environment. The city pledged to actively provide information related to local businesses and to support administrative assistance and communication to resolve difficulties faced by companies.
Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun of Hwaseong said, "This is a time when active cooperation is needed not only in the public sector but also in the private sector due to the local economic downturn and weakened consumer sentiment," adding, "We will strengthen communication with companies and spare no administrative support in providing information and resolving difficulties."
