Changnyeong-gun Deploys Accident ZERO Cleaning Vehicles On Site
Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 6th that it will support one Korean-style cleaning vehicle to improve the working environment of sanitation workers belonging to the household waste collection and transportation agency, and will deploy it on site starting next year.
The Korean-style cleaning vehicle is a model developed by the Ministry of Environment in 2018, designed to drastically reduce safety accidents of sanitation workers by adapting to Korea's working environment and terrain.
This vehicle is equipped with △360-degree around view △cameras to check workers boarding and alighting △secured internal passenger space △communication through external vehicle speakers △cover lowering safety system △operation switches on both rear sides △hydraulic safety devices, greatly enhancing work convenience and safety.
In particular, by moving away from the existing method of boarding on the cargo bed step, it is expected to prevent injuries to workers' waists and knees, collisions, falls, and fatal accidents.
Since August, Changnyeong-gun has been strengthening the work safety of sanitation workers by completely removing the steps of agency vehicles, and plans to expand convenience facilities such as rest areas and shower rooms.
