Assemblyman Yang Bu-nam: "Police Commissioner and Seoul Chief's Mobile Phones Must Be Seized for Search"
Head of Guksu Headquarters "Urgent Measures Under Review"
Yang Bu-nam, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, requested Woo Jong-su, head of the National Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency, on the 5th to "apply for search warrants to seize the mobile phones of the National Police Agency Commissioner, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Commissioner, and other related personnel."
On the same day, at the plenary meeting of the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee, Representative Yang said, "Police Commissioner Jo Ji-ho and Seoul Commissioner Kim Bong-su communicated via mobile phones. This is an urgent matter."
Commissioner Jo responded, "I received instructions regarding the control of the National Assembly via mobile phone from the Martial Law Commander," and Commissioner Kim stated, "I was contacted through the head of the Security Bureau at the headquarters. I also spoke with Commissioner Jo over the phone," adding, "I give orders to the National Assembly Security Captain via radio."
Head Woo replied, "I instructed the Security Investigation Division of the National Police Agency to urgently review what actions need to be taken."
