Support for Renovation of Old Houses and Heating Costs
"Comprehensive Welfare Policy Leaving No Marginalized Residents Behind"
Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 5th that it will support vulnerable groups struggling with the cold wave for three months until February next year.
The county will carry out repairs and renovations of aging houses for about 1,675 households, including basic livelihood security recipients and near-poverty groups, and provide heating costs and cold-weather supplies.
In addition, 300 at-risk households identified using big data on power and water outages will be visited directly by customized welfare teams in each town and township to provide emergency welfare support. A support system will be established to help households in need of care, such as the elderly, children, and those at risk of solitary death, to cope with crisis situations.
On the 11th, kimchi will be prepared for 500 vulnerable households with volunteer groups, and funds will be raised for the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ to help neighbors in need.
