Praised for Community-Tailored Approach and Voluntary Employee Participation
Hyundai Mobis' social contribution activities, carried out through the voluntary participation of its employees, have consecutively received ministerial awards from the government.
On the 5th, Hyundai Mobis announced that it received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award at the '2024 Korea Volunteer Awards' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Additionally, it was selected as an ‘Excellent Company for Community Contribution 2024’ by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare, receiving the Minister of Health and Welfare Award. In the evaluation for excellent community contribution companies, Hyundai Mobis achieved the highest rating (Level 5) across all assessment areas, including environment, social responsibility, and transparent management.
Since 2002, Hyundai Mobis has partnered with social welfare organizations near its 47 business sites nationwide to conduct community-tailored social contribution activities such as youth engineering classes, kimchi sharing for vulnerable groups, and environmental cleanup activities. It has also carried out eco-friendly social contribution activities, including biodiversity conservation and protection of endangered species in collaboration with local communities.
A distinctive feature of Hyundai Mobis' social contribution activities is that employees and their families share these experiences together. Since 2019, over 8,600 people have participated in family-involved volunteer activities. To encourage employee volunteerism, Hyundai Mobis established and operates a social contribution activity system called ‘Move Together.’ Through this system, employees directly plan volunteer activities and collaborate with related organizations to put them into practice.
