National Health Insurance Service Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Headquarters, Joint Labor-Management Kimchi Sharing... Gifts for 300 Vulnerable Families in Gangseo-gu
The National Health Insurance Service Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters (Director Choi Deok-geun) announced on the 4th that they carried out a kimchi-sharing volunteer activity in collaboration with labor and management at Nakdong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center (Director Kwon Ki-cheol), delivering homemade kimchi to neighbors in need.
About 30 people participated in this kimchi-sharing event, including Director Choi Deok-geun, Park Jong-hyung, head of Busan Northern Branch, Kim Hee-cheol, head of the Labor Union Busan Headquarters, and Gu Seung-hyun, head of the Ulgyeong Headquarters. Using 7 million won from the social contribution fund collected by employees' voluntary donations, they made about 1,000 heads of kimchi and delivered them to approximately 300 vulnerable households in Gangseo-gu, Busan, sharing warm hearts.
Director Choi Deok-geun said, “I hope the warm energy reaches neighbors in need, and I thank the labor union for participating to add value to sharing,” adding, “We will continue to carry out various activities with the labor union to expand sharing in the local community.”

The NHIS Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Headquarters steadily practices Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management through the social contribution fund created by employees' voluntary participation. As a result of these efforts, it was selected again this year as a ‘2024 Community Contribution Recognized Institution,’ jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare.
