Actress Ra Mi-ran and Professor Joo Jin-sook Receive Women Filmmakers Award
The Gang Su-yeon Award is Presented by the 'Film Industry Crisis Overcome Film Professionals Alliance'
The Women Filmmakers Association announced on the 4th that actress Ra Mi-ran has been selected for this year's Women Filmmakers Award. She was recognized for her contributions to preserving Korean cinema as an actress through films such as "Citizen Deok-hee."
The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Professor Emeritus Joo Jin-sook of Chung-Ang University. Professor Joo is a leading film scholar who has served as president of the Korean Association of Film Critics and the Korean branch of the International Federation of Film Critics. She was recognized for her contributions to the growth of women filmmakers, including publishing the book "Dictionary of Women Filmmakers" and leading the founding of the Women Filmmakers Association.
The Kang Soo-yeon Award, given to filmmakers who have contributed to the development of Korean cinema in various fields such as directing and producing, was awarded to the "Film Industry Crisis Overcoming Filmmakers Solidarity."
