Meeting Between Manufacturing, Distribution, and Indie Brand Representatives
Kolmar Korea announced on the 3rd that Oh Yu-kyung, Commissioner of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, visited the Comprehensive Technology Institute to discuss support for the overseas expansion of cosmetic brands.
On the 2nd, Commissioner Oh visited Kolmar Korea's Comprehensive Technology Institute located in Naegok-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, and held a meeting. The meeting was attended by Yoon Sang-hyun, Vice Chairman of Kolmar Group, Choi Hyun-gyu, CEO of Kolmar Korea, and others. As leading indie brand companies, six brands participated: Seorin Company (Round Lab), iFamilySC (Rom&nd), Manyo Factory (Manyo Factory), TIRTIR (TIRTIR), The Founders (Anua), and Gooday Global (Joseon Beauty). The distribution company Olive Young also participated.

View original imageBefore the meeting, Vice Chairman Yoon Sang-hyun gave a presentation on the "Global Status and Success Factors of K-Beauty." Vice Chairman Yoon stated that they will strengthen cooperation with indie brands to continuously create star brands unique to K-Beauty. He also expressed the intention to establish themselves as a trusted partner company in the global market.
Afterwards, Commissioner Oh and the brand representatives discussed the difficulties faced by cosmetic export companies and deliberated on support measures to expand overseas advancement. At this meeting, Commissioner Oh said, "To ensure that our industry can continue the growth trend of cosmetic exports, we will strengthen intergovernmental cooperation channels and support the development of innovative products by domestic companies through reasonable regulatory improvements."

Officials from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and industry representatives toured the major research facilities of Kolmar Korea's Comprehensive Technology Institute to experience cosmetic technology. They also visited the 'UV Tech Innovation Research Center,' which developed Kolmar Korea's strength in sunscreen, and the 'Chroma Kolmar Studio,' a space for gaining inspiration on colors. A Kolmar Korea official said, "This visit was a meaningful occasion where the K-Beauty industry and the government discussed growth strategies in the global market together," adding, "We will do our best to further strengthen the status of K-Beauty in the global market."
