Heechang Dairy, Grand Prize Winner at Gyeongnam Industrial Safety Awards
Excellent Cases of Major Accident Prevention and International Safe City Certification in Yangsan-si
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam announced that ‘Heechang Dairy’ (CEO Park Chang-hyun), a local company, received the Grand Prize at the 2024 Gyeongsangnam-do Industrial Safety Awards.

View original imageThis award is a result of Heechang Dairy’s outstanding achievements in preventing major accidents and safety management, making it even more meaningful in conjunction with Yangsan City’s major accident prevention consulting support project and the recent certification as an International Safe City.
Heechang Dairy has worked hard to prevent safety accidents by implementing an Industrial Safety Emphasis Week involving all employees and operating permanent safety patrols, as well as systematically striving to establish a zero-accident workplace by obtaining ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certification.
Thanks to this comprehensive safety management, Heechang Dairy received the Grand Prize at the 2024 Industrial Safety Awards.
This award was based not only on Heechang Dairy’s efforts to protect workers from industrial accidents but also on various programs implemented by Yangsan City for local companies, such as consulting for major accident prevention.
In particular, the Labor Safety and Health Keeper Team project, newly implemented from 2025, will dispatch safety experts to companies to inspect and improve workplace hazards, thereby further enhancing the effectiveness of major accident prevention.
Additionally, Yangsan City is focusing its administrative efforts on enhancing the safety of citizens and workers through certification as an International Safe City by the International Safe Community Certifying Centre (ISCCC).
