Yeonghonam 4 Provincial Chambers of Commerce Sign Business Agreement for National Balanced Development
The Chambers of Commerce and Industry Council of Gyeongsangnam-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Jeollanam-do, and Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province signed a "Mutual Cooperation Agreement of Non-Capital Region Chambers of Commerce and Industry Council" on the 2nd at the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The four chambers of commerce and industry from Yeongnam and Honam regions plan to promote mutually complementary cooperation by leveraging the industrial strengths of each area. The main areas of cooperation include △joint government proposals and follow-up actions related to national balanced development △formation and mutual cooperation of the Non-Capital Region Chambers of Commerce and Industry Council △joint response to economic issues △commissioning research projects and holding National Assembly forums, among other activities to promote balanced development.
The participating chairpersons stated that they will establish concrete implementation plans to ensure that this agreement develops into practical and sustainable cooperation beyond mere formal collaboration.
In particular, they agreed that each region must take the initiative to solve the problem of local extinction. They also emphasized the need to contribute to attracting businesses and improving working conditions through substantial policy improvements such as differential application of corporate tax, inheritance tax, and earned income tax.
Choi Jae-ho, Chairman of the Gyeongnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council, said, "Through this agreement, we must act not only for regional interests but also for national balanced development," adding, "We will share the strengths of each region and cooperate toward common goals."
