Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk Province is conducting the 'Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign' for a total of 62 days from the 1st of this month until January 31st next year.
This campaign is carried out under the slogan "Make myself valuable through donation, make Yeongju valuable through donation," with Yeongju City's fundraising target set at 823 million KRW.
Starting on the 2nd, the city will officially begin fundraising with the 'Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign Love Fruit Pinning' event involving city hall employees.
Donations can be made through the city's Welfare Policy Division and the Eup, Myeon, and Dong Administrative Welfare Centers, as well as via dedicated media accounts, financial institutions' Love accounts, non-face-to-face QR codes, and ARS.
The funds raised during the campaign period will be used through the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea to support local families in crisis due to the economic downturn, socially vulnerable groups, welfare blind spots and marginalized communities, as well as various welfare projects including education and self-reliance support.
Mayor Park Nam-seo, the 7th Honor Society member of Yeongju, said, "Thanks to the participation of citizens every year, neighbors in need have been able to spend a warm winter," adding, "We ask for active participation again this year and hope to create a warmer and happier Yeongju through sharing."
