Donation to Community Chest of Korea
Purchase of 310,000 Calendars Produced with 8 NGOs
Samsung announced on the 2nd that it has donated 50 billion KRW in year-end Neighbor Love donations to the Community Chest of Korea.
On the same day, Samsung held a year-end Neighbor Love donation ceremony at the Community Chest of Korea building located in Jung-gu, Seoul. The ceremony was attended by Kim Byung-jun, Chairman of the Community Chest of Korea; Jang Seok-hoon, President of Samsung Corporate Social Responsibility; and employee representatives Seo Jun-young and Park Beom-cheol from Samsung Electronics.
Samsung has continuously donated year-end Neighbor Love funds to the Community Chest of Korea for 26 years since 1999. The cumulative total amount of donations made up to this year reaches 870 billion KRW. From 1999 to 2003, Samsung donated 10 billion KRW annually; from 2004 to 2010, 20 billion KRW annually; 30 billion KRW in 2011; and since 2012, 50 billion KRW each year.
This year’s year-end Neighbor Love donations involved 23 affiliated companies including Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung SDS, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Samsung Card, Samsung Securities, Samsung C&T, Samsung Engineering & Construction, Cheil Worldwide, and S-1. The participating Samsung affiliates underwent individual approval procedures for external donation contributions. The funds donated by Samsung will be used to support youth education and aid socially vulnerable groups.
In addition to company funds, donations voluntarily collected from employees of the 23 affiliates were also included in the donation amount. Samsung employees participated in the Samsung 'Donation Pledge Campaign' held over the past month starting from the 1st of last month, pre-registering monetary and talent donations for the year 2025.

Furthermore, Samsung plans to distribute 310,000 copies of the 2025 desk calendar, produced in collaboration with eight NGOs including UNICEF, Blue Tree Foundation, Good Neighbors, and Save the Children, to its employees. Since 2019, Samsung has been producing calendars in cooperation with NGOs to raise employee awareness of the company’s social responsibilities. The calendar features introductions and photos of major CSR projects carried out by Samsung and the NGOs. This year, 15 Samsung affiliates including Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung SDS, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Samsung Card, Samsung Securities, Samsung C&T, and Samsung Bioepis participated in purchasing the calendars.
