Hong Beom-sik, who was inaugurated as the new CEO of LG Uplus (photo), conveyed this message in an email greeting to employees. He expressed his ambition to rise from the third-ranked company in terms of mobile communication subscribers to the top spot through customer-centric differentiated management.
On the 2nd, CEO Hong sent an email titled "Creating a Better Future Together with You" to all members on his first official day at LG Uplus.
He said, "Thinking about building LG Uplus together with you fills me with overwhelming excitement and a great sense of responsibility," adding, "I am currently visiting each organization to have conversations, and I hope we can gradually get to know each other and envision the future we will create together."
Since his appointment as CEO on the 21st of last month, Hong has been visiting various departments in the Yongsan headquarters to communicate directly. With his official start, he plans to continue meeting with on-site employees.

He continued, "Differentiated competitiveness is built up through accumulated small successful experiences," explaining, "It means having a long-term perspective and tackling small things one by one to achieve something big." He also emphasized, "Just like people, a company must have a solid core," and "Strong fundamentals are essential to make a leap toward greater growth."
