Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 29th that the Namyangju City Children’s Choir successfully held the 12th planned concert “If the World Becomes a Song” at Dasan Art Hall on the 28th.

This concert was a joint performance with the Pocheon City Children’s Choir, conveying a message of harmony where different sounds come together to create one beautiful harmony.


In particular, the Namyangju City Children’s Choir received great applause from the audience by expressing Korean sentiments through songs such as “Ganggangsullae” and “Mugunghwa” with their unique clear tone and delicate choreography.


Additionally, the Korean traditional arts group “Aul” appeared as a special guest, adding vitality to the concert by showcasing lively Pangut rhythms and amazing skills.


The concert concluded with the Namyangju City Children’s Choir and the Pocheon City Children’s Choir singing “Beautiful Country” accompanied by traditional instruments. The beautiful harmony of the two choirs left a deep impression and lingering emotion with the audience.


Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju said, “I sincerely welcome the Pocheon City Children’s Choir who joined us from the neighboring city of Pocheon,” and added, “I hope that the voices of the two choirs harmonizing in Namyangju, where the spirit of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong resides, will create an even more beautiful world.”


Meanwhile, the Namyangju City Children’s Choir is scheduled to present another special stage to citizens through the year-end concert held at the Namyangju Sports and Culture Center on December 14.
