November DRAM and NAND Prices Fall Most Sharply This Year
Market Research Firm 'DRAMeXchange' Reports
DRAM at $1.35 and NAND at $2.16
Both Decline... "No Signs of Recovery"
Market research firm 'DRAMeXchange' reported on the 29th that the average fixed transaction price of PC DRAM general-purpose products (DDR4 8Gb 1Gx8) in November was $1.35, down 20.59% from the previous month. The average fixed transaction price of NAND flash general-purpose products for memory cards and USBs (128Gb 16Gx8 MLC) in November also recorded $2.16, down 29.80% from the previous month. Both DRAM and NAND experienced the largest decline this year in November.
DRAM prices generally followed an upward trend from October last year, then stabilized from May to July before turning downward in August. In September, prices plunged 17.07%, and there was no change in October. NAND prices rose for five consecutive months starting from October last year, then stabilized before turning downward in September.

Market research firm TrendForce commented on this memory price trend, stating, "As of early Q4, PC OEMs' inventory levels are between 10 to 16 weeks, aiming to reduce them to 8 to 14 weeks by the end of this year." They added, "As the year-end approaches, market expansion is slowing down, and there are no signs of short-term recovery in the overall economic situation," predicting, "December prices are unlikely to recover due to insufficient consumer improvement and high inventory levels."
