Samsung SDI Appoints Choi Ju-seon, Samsung Display CEO, as New CEO
Engineer-Turned Executive
On the 28th, Samsung SDI announced that Choi Ju-seon, CEO of Samsung Display, has been appointed as the new President and CEO. CEO Choi Yun-ho has moved to the newly established Management Diagnosis Office at Samsung Global Research.
Born in 1963, CEO Choi is an engineer-turned-executive who earned a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from KAIST and has held positions such as Head of DRAM Development at Samsung Electronics Memory Division, Head of North America for the DS Division, and served as Head of Large Display Business and CEO at Samsung Display.
He is recognized for demonstrating excellent technical expertise and management skills, strengthening semiconductor technology competitiveness, and leading solid growth in the display business.
Based on the successful know-how and leadership accumulated through his experience in semiconductors and displays, CEO Choi is expected to continuously drive innovation and enhance corporate value at Samsung SDI.
