Most of the Country to Experience Snow and Rain Until Tomorrow Morning
On the 27th, as the heavy snow warning area expanded including the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters was raised to Level 2.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that as of 2 p.m. on the same day, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters was elevated to Level 2, and the heavy snow crisis alert level was upgraded from 'Caution' to 'Warning.' According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, rain or snow will fall in most parts of the country until tomorrow morning, with strong and heavy snowfall of 1 to 3 cm per hour expected mainly in the central region and eastern Jeonbuk.
On the 27th, when a heavy snowfall of up to 20cm fell in Seoul, Namsan and downtown Seoul, as seen from Namsan N Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul, were covered in white snow.

In the special warning areas and preliminary warning areas, he emphasized the need to guide people to refrain from unnecessary outings and movements and to strengthen safety management publicity, including sending disaster alert messages.
