The Pyeongcheon 3-ri Village Hall, located at 79-4 Pyeongcheongil, Taean-eup, was built on a 694㎡ site with a building area of 192.3㎡ and consists of one above-ground floor. The county invested 300 million won, began construction in June, and recently completed the project.
The construction of the village hall was initiated after Pyeongcheon 3-ri was selected as the target site for the village hall improvement project in October 2022.
The county decided to build a new hall at the same location as the existing one, as the previous building had been in use for over 20 years and caused inconvenience to residents due to cracks and water leakage.
With the new village hall, 176 residents from 96 households in Pyeongcheon 3-ri are expected to benefit. The county plans to continue making various efforts to resolve inconveniences for village residents.
Governor Ga Se-ro, who attended the ceremony, said, "I would like to thank the local residents and officials who contributed to the completion of the village hall," adding, "We will make thorough efforts to manage the new village hall so that it can become a home for the village community."
