The four exhibition venues were selected as easily accessible places for citizens to widely promote the charm of wooden architecture to local residents of various age groups.
The main purpose of this exhibition is to convey to citizens the value of wooden architecture, which is gaining global attention as a construction method that uses eco-friendly wood to improve energy efficiency and minimize environmental impact. Through this exhibition, Jinju City plans to widely promote the appeal of wooden architecture and share the process of developing it according to local characteristics.
In recent years, Jinju City has made multifaceted efforts to advance wooden architecture, resulting in achievements such as winning awards for four consecutive years at the Korea Wooden Architecture Competition and receiving numerous benchmarking requests from nationwide local governments and wood-related organizations. This exhibition will showcase Jinju’s wooden architecture works and the achievements that have established Jinju as a representative city of wooden architecture.
The exhibition content is designed to help visitors understand various aspects of wooden architecture, including information about wood, the necessity of wooden architecture, various wooden architecture plans and features, blueprints, and panoramic photos. Additionally, at the indoor exhibition held at Jinju Student Culture Sharing Center Gallery Cafe Daum, a promotional video featuring citizens’ real-use reviews of Jinju’s wooden architecture will be screened.
