Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) continues to receive heartwarming news day after day.
As the weather has recently become noticeably colder, warm gestures toward marginalized neighbors are increasing.
On the 22nd at 2 p.m., a donation ceremony to help patients with intractable diseases was held in the Gwangjin-gu Mayor’s office. The donation was made by Galbori Church (Senior Pastor Kim Young-saeng), located in Jayang 3-dong. Galbori Church annually practices warm sharing along with sponsoring items such as rice and ramen.
This time, they donated over 10 million won, asking that it be used to treat and support children suffering from rare diseases.
On the 20th, another heartening story was heard. Unique Union Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Sang-yong) donated 19,000 pairs of women's shoes, worth approximately 180 million won. Established in 2005, Unique Union faithfully carries out social contribution activities alongside its home shopping, distribution, and footwear and apparel manufacturing businesses.
SGI Seoul Guarantee Seoul Gangbuk Headquarters (Head Kim Jae-hak) also donated 30 million won. The funds supported functional enhancement projects at five local children’s centers and one group home, enabling vulnerable children using these centers to enjoy a comfortable and pleasant environment.
Wellnok Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang Bok-soon) also contributed. On the 14th, they donated 127 boxes of health supplements containing deer antler velvet and red ginseng. The value exceeds 10 million won. These were entrusted to the Gwangjin Food Market to be distributed to vulnerable groups in the area, including basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income families, and emergency aid recipients.
