Kumho Mitsui Chemicals Receives Prime Minister's Award for ESG Management
Kumho Mitsui Chemicals announced on the 20th that it received the Prime Minister's Commendation as the first-place winner in the National Quality Innovation Award ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Management category at the awards ceremony of the '50th National Quality Management Convention' held at COEX in Seoul.

View original imageKumho Mitsui Chemicals was highly evaluated for its comprehensive ESG achievements, including the development of eco-friendly bio products, the introduction of process technology that recycles by-products and wastewater generated during production processes as raw materials, the establishment of an ESG management strategy that meets global standards titled 'Chemical Innovation for Future Generations, ESG Leading Partner Driving Sustainability,' and efforts to implement ESG management centered on the ESG Task Force Team (TFT).
In 2023, Kumho Mitsui Chemicals earned the 'Gold Rating' in its first ESG evaluation by the global sustainability assessment organization EcoVadis. In May, it conducted ESG evaluations of its partners, and in June, it carried out the first third-party human rights impact assessment through an external independent organization, striving to secure a sustainable supply chain and protect the human rights of its employees.
