Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province, is attracting attention by collaborating with both civilian and military sectors to renovate the aging fences of military units.

View original imageOn the 21st, Yeoncheon-gun announced that the mural project titled “Civilian, Government, and Military Painting Together” as a special project by the Jeongok-eup Residents' Autonomy Committee took place at the medical unit of the 5th Division in Eundae-ri.
This mural painting project is sponsored by Yeoncheon-gun and the 5th Division, hosted by the Jeongok-eup Administrative Welfare Center, and organized by the Jeongok-eup Residents' Autonomy Committee. The mural painting, under the theme “Yes, Yeoncheon Together Toward the Future,” is scheduled to continue until the 28th.
Earlier, on the 20th, the mural painting was carried out mainly by Yang Su-jeong, chairperson of the Jeongok-eup Residents' Autonomy Committee, along with other committee executives. Notably, Kim Deok-hyun, the governor of Yeoncheon-gun, and Kim Jae-gu, the mayor of Jeongok-eup, personally participated in the mural painting, drawing attention.
Kim Deok-hyun, governor of Yeoncheon-gun, said, “I hope this meaningful time of mural work together by civilians, government, and military will serve as a moment of harmony.”
Kim Jae-gu, mayor of Jeongok-eup, stated, “I hope the aging fence will be transformed into a pleasant and clean space, creating a warm and welcoming village.”
