Buyeo County Wins Three Awards at the Pinnacle Awards Korea
Awards Including Festival Education Leader Group Leader Prize
Buyeo County in Chungnam announced that it won three awards at the 18th Pinnacle Awards Korea ceremony, hosted by the Korea chapter of the International Festivals & Events Association, held at Darakwon in Geumsan County on the 20th.
The county received the Group Leader Award in the Festival Education Leader category, as well as Gold Awards in the Nighttime Creative and Education Program categories at this ceremony.
The Pinnacle Awards Korea has been held annually since 2013 to promote the globalization of Korean festivals.
Governor Park Junghyun, who was recognized as the Festival Leader of the Year in the Heritage Tourism Promotion category last year, has further solidified her reputation as a leader in the festival field by winning the Group Leader Award in the Festival Education Leader category this year.
Governor Park was recognized for conducting special lectures to enhance festival-related competencies among public officials and for implementing a cultural heritage utilization planner training program for local residents.
The Buyeo Cultural Heritage Night Tour was awarded in the Nighttime Creative category for the fourth consecutive year, praised for its unique production that effectively delivered both entertainment and thematic content to visitors.
Meanwhile, Buyeo County’s ‘Our Hometown National Heritage Utilization Workshop,’ which won Gold in the Education Program category, was first implemented nationwide three years ago. It was highly regarded for encouraging participation from both local residents and organizations through the training of cultural heritage utilization planners and the strengthening of capabilities among groups utilizing cultural heritage.
Governor Park stated, “With this award as a stepping stone, we will further elevate the status of Buyeo County’s festivals and strive to become a city of joyful festivals all year round,” adding, “As the Pinnacle Awards Korea will be held in Buyeo next year, I ask for everyone’s interest and support.”
