Paju-si, Public Disclosure of List of High-Amount and Habitual Local Tax Delinquents
141 People Who Have Overdue Payments of More Than 10 Million Won for Over One Year
The list of delinquent taxpayers who have not paid local taxes exceeding 10 million won for more than one year will be disclosed on the websites of Paju City and Gyeonggi Province on the 20th.
Paju City, Gyeonggi Province, sent advance notices in March to delinquent taxpayers who met the criteria for disclosure and collected 246 million won in taxes by the explanation period in September. The city decided to disclose the list of delinquent taxpayers who did not pay taxes by the explanation deadline.
The total number of delinquent taxpayers subject to disclosure is 141, including 46 corporations with a total delinquent amount of 2.289 billion won and 95 individuals with a total delinquent amount of 4.473 billion won. The disclosed delinquency information includes the taxpayer's name, trade name (including the corporation's name), age, address or place of business, tax item of the delinquent amount, payment deadline, and details of the delinquency.

A Paju City official stated, "In addition to disclosing the names of high-amount and habitual delinquent taxpayers, we will employ various administrative sanctions such as seizure of movable property through house searches, confiscation of license plates of delinquent vehicles, active public auctions, travel bans, and seizure and collection of wages and financial assets to eradicate high-amount and habitual delinquency and to realize tax justice."
