According to the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters on the 20th, at the 2024 Model Uniformed Workers Award Ceremony held at Lotte Hotel Seoul on the 18th, Fire Sergeant Kim Hyung-hoon of Jeju Western Fire Station and Fire Lieutenant Park Yong-tae of the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters Fire Policy Division were selected as model uniformed workers and received awards.

View original imageThe Model Uniformed Workers Award is given by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to honor uniformed workers who dedicate themselves on the front lines for public safety, aiming to boost pride, convey messages of gratitude and support, and promote a culture of respect for uniformed workers in daily life. This year, 75 firefighters nationwide were selected as model uniformed workers.
Fire Sergeant Kim Hyung-hoon is a veteran firefighter with over 30 years of experience who has taken the lead in protecting citizens' lives and property at various disaster sites. He established a customized 119 emergency call reception manual for vulnerable disaster victims, created an efficient on-site response system as an incident commander, and contributed to firefighting development by promoting facility environment improvement projects to enhance employee welfare.
