It especially provides customized education for students who need individual learning support and fosters a positive learning environment through emotional support.
On this day, Superintendent Kim also discussed with the teachers of Yeonggwang Okdang Middle School the establishment of the Gongjon Classroom, support for student-tailored education, and measures to guarantee teachers’ authority and students’ learning rights.
Participants said, “The difficulty in conducting classes arises from one or two students who need support due to learning gaps and emotional issues,” and added, “Because support instructors focus on helping these students, a ‘studious atmosphere’ is created, which greatly aids the progress of lessons.”
The Provincial Office of Education plans to further support students’ learning rights next year by expanding support instructors for the Gongjon Classroom, operating capacity-building training for these instructors, and running regional councils for the Gongjon Classroom. They will also provide multifaceted support including emotional recovery and character education.
