"Improving Meal Preparation Efficiency" CJ Freshway Expands Development of Easy Cooking Recipes
Reducing Bulk Cooking Burden with Special Sauce and Marinated Meat for Simplified Preparation

CJ Freshway is expanding its easy cooking recipes to improve meal preparation efficiency. Easy cooking recipes refer to cooking methods that utilize efficiency-enhancing ingredients such as special sauces, marinated meats, soup bases, and pre-processed vegetables.
CJ Freshway currently has about 2,000 recipes and announced on the 19th that it plans to add approximately 150 more within this year.
CJ Freshway selects and develops menus and recipes by analyzing data collected from nationwide stores, including frequently used menus in meal services, customer-preferred menus, and ingredients with high order volumes.
The new recipes will be applied and tested at CJ Freshway’s headquarters cafeteria. After verifying taste and efficiency, they will be distributed as recommended menus and cooking guidelines through the data platform "Menu Management System" for nutritionists and cooks.
Easy cooking recipes are introduced alongside cooking efficiency products that reduce cooking processes. For single-dish menus, sauce products are suggested, and for soup and stew menus, methods to use bases that enhance umami flavor are introduced.
Frequently used ingredients are also offered as private brand (PB) products. Sales of CJ Freshway’s cooking efficiency products have increased by an average of 44% annually from 2021 through last year.
