Expectations for Attracting Companies and Revitalizing Local Economy
Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 18th that it has introduced a single-rate water tariff for industrial use to attract local businesses and revitalize the economy.
The newly established single-rate water tariff for industrial use applies a fixed rate of 750 KRW per ton to companies, enabling more affordable and stable water usage compared to the previous progressive tariff system based on total consumption.
This introduction of the single-rate water tariff for industrial use is part of Hamyang-gun’s policy to create a business-friendly environment, supporting companies to settle and operate stably within the region.
Furthermore, by providing stable and affordable public infrastructure to businesses, it is expected to greatly contribute to regional economic revitalization and job creation.
A Hamyang-gun official stated, “The introduction of the single-rate water tariff for industrial use will be a key factor in reducing the burden on companies and promoting their settlement in the region,” adding, “We will continue to develop business-friendly policies and do our best to attract companies and promote regional economic development.”
