Sacheon City Council Conducts 4 Major Violence Prevention Training for Council Members and Secretariat Staff
On the 14th, the Sacheon City Council in Gyeongnam conducted a '4 Major Violence (sexual harassment, sexual violence, prostitution, domestic violence) Prevention Education' for city council members and council office staff at the KB Insurance Injaenium Sacheon Training Center located in Gonyang-myeon.
The 4 Major Violence Prevention Education is a legally mandated training aimed at preventing and eradicating sexual harassment, sexual violence, prostitution, and domestic violence. Public institutions and related organizations are required to complete at least one hour of training per category, totaling a minimum of four hours annually.
This training was tailored to the characteristics of different groups, including city council members, senior public officials, and general public officials, to foster a proper understanding of the 4 major violence issues and promote a healthy workplace culture.
On this day, Hwang Bin and Baek Yeon-yeon, expert instructors from the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education specializing in integrated violence prevention education, explained topics such as raising gender sensitivity to eradicate workplace sexual violence, the roles and practical measures for superiors, and strategies to prevent recurrence.
