Daejeon Content Fair Opens at DCC on 22nd... Book Fair and Webtoon Job Fair to Be Held
Daejeon International Webtoon Job Fair and DICU Festival to Be Held Until the 24th
Daejeon City announced that it will host the '2024 Daejeon Contents Fair' at Exhibition Hall 2 of the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) from the 22nd to the 24th to revitalize the local content industry ecosystem.
This event will feature a variety of exhibitions and content in one place, including the '2024 Daejeon Book Fair,' '2024 Daejeon International Webtoon Job Fair,' 'DICU Festival,' and the 'National Local Government Public Character Contest.'
Additionally, there will be a 'Game Zone' where visitors can experience both online and offline games such as the promotional and experience zone for Korea's No. 1 e-sports game 'Eternal Return,' TCG card games, and a 'Cosplay Zone' where attendees can enjoy cosplay makeup experiences and meet famous cosplay teams.
There will also be a 'Webtoon Artist Talk Show' with local authors, the 'Konstar Awards' ceremony for the Daejeon Bonsek and science fiction short story contest, and the awards ceremony for the 'National Local Government Character Contest.'
In addition, the event will include a joint exhibition hall operated by the Daejeon Content Business Support Center with participation from local content companies, introductions to local and independent publications, book and goods sales, and 'Book Talks' featuring local and renowned authors.
Admission is free, and pre-registration for visitors is available on the official Daejeon Contents Fair website until the 17th.
Noh Kisoo, Director of the Culture, Arts, and Tourism Bureau of Daejeon City, said, "As the number of people enjoying various cultural content increases and interest grows, we have prepared unique and diverse exhibitions of outstanding domestic content and subculture content based on Kkumdori," adding, "We plan to offer a variety of attractions and special experiences."
