Sharing Insights on Robotics and Autonomous Driving
Kakao Mobility announced on the 14th that it held the tech conference "NEXT MOBILITY: NEMO 2024 (hereinafter NEMO)" at the "Kakao Artificial Intelligence (AI) Campus" located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province on the 13th, sharing technological insights.
NEMO is Kakao Mobility's tech conference that shares insights on mobility-related technologies and industry visions. This year, based on the autonomous driving and robotics content announced at last month's Kakao Developer Conference "IF Kakao 202," a "Partners Day" was held to exchange opinions with domestic and international industry stakeholders and experts.

View original imageThe event began with a welcoming speech by Ryu Geung-seon, CEO of Kakao Mobility, and featured a total of 11 sessions under two main themes: "Robotics" and "Autonomous Driving," which are core to Kakao Mobility's future technologies.
In the first robotics session, Kwon Oh-seong, head of the Robot Business Task Force (TF) at Kakao Mobility's Future Business Division, introduced the robot delivery platform "BRING-ON" under the theme "Digital Transformation Strategy of Spaces Using Robots."
In the autonomous driving session, Park Il-seok, head of the Autonomous Driving Service and Infrastructure Team at Kakao Mobility's Future Business Division, analyzed global trends under the theme "Autonomous Driving Vision and Ecosystem." He presented Kakao Mobility's autonomous driving platform demonstration experiences and future directions in Jeju, Gangnam, Daegu, Sejong, and other locations.
Representatives from companies collaborating with Kakao Mobility in the robotics field, including Samsung C&T, Hyundai Elevator, ROBOTIS, and HL Mando, shared the current status of robot service utilization. Stakeholders from Hanyang University, Seoul City, RideFlux, and Aibril Ride Korea also attended to share information on autonomous driving-related laws, policies, operational status, and technologies.
