Wemade Signs Official License Agreement with Japanese Professional Baseball... Targeting Release in Q1 Next Year
Wemade's Japanese subsidiary, Wemade Japan, announced on the 11th that it has signed an official license agreement with the Japan Professional Baseball Organization (NPB), a general incorporated association that oversees professional baseball in Japan.
Wemade plans to utilize the NPB license to service "Fantastic Baseball: Ilmi Pro Battle (tentative title)," targeting Japanese baseball fans. Round One Studio, which has experience in developing baseball games, is collaborating on the project with a goal to launch in the first quarter of next year.
Fantastic Baseball: Ilmi Pro Battle will be the first game in the Japanese market to officially use licenses from both NPB and Major League Baseball (MLB). Featuring 12 NPB teams, 30 MLB teams, and their players, the game aims to offer a unique and differentiated baseball gaming experience.
