Free Tax Consultation Service Coming to Your Home
Resolve Your Questions on National and Local Taxes
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) has been operating a free tax consultation service called ‘Maeul Tax Advisor’ since 2015.
The service is run through the pro bono work of tax accountants and the activity period is two years.
The 12 members of the ‘6th Maeul Tax Advisor’ provide services to residents of Dongdaemun-gu based at 14 community service centers, including ▲tax consultations related to national and local taxes ▲support for appeals (for claimed tax amounts under 10 million KRW).
On the 5th, Dongdaemun-gu conducted its first-ever ‘Visiting Tax Consultation’ since the operation of the ‘Maeul Tax Advisor.’ With the cooperation of the Hwikyung SK View Apartment management office, the service was promoted on the apartment’s homepage and applicants were recruited until the end of October.
On that day, two Maeul Tax Advisors visited the apartment and provided consultations for about two hours to 12 pre-registered applicants. The residents who received consultations expressed their gratitude, saying, “We were able to resolve complicated and confusing tax-related questions such as capital gains tax, gift tax, and inheritance tax.”
