The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on the 7th that it sent a congratulatory letter to Donald Trump, the President-elect of the United States and the 47th president.
Choi Tae-won, Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, conveyed his congratulations through the letter, stating, "President Trump's firm and decisive leadership will accelerate the recovery of the U.S. economy and contribute to the sustained prosperity of the global economy."
He continued, "For the past 70 years, South Korea and the United States have built a close economic partnership based on a strong security alliance," emphasizing, "Korean companies have actively invested in advanced industries such as automobiles, semiconductors, and batteries, contributing to the strengthening of U.S. manufacturing and job creation."
Chairman Choi also said, "As a long-standing partner of the U.S. business community, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry has continuously communicated with not only American companies but also government agencies to promote economic cooperation between the two countries," adding, "We will strive to create opportunities for cooperation and further strengthen the long-standing partnership during the second Trump administration."
