Korea Tourism Organization Overseas Promotional Video 'Rest Edition' Introducing Suncheon
‘Imagine Your Korea’…The Only One in Jeonnam
Suncheon City in Jeollanam-do attracted attention by appearing in the overseas themed promotional video "Rest," released on the Korea Tourism Organization's official YouTube channel, ‘Imagine Your Korea,’ on the 31st of last month.
Among the travel destinations featured in this promotional video, produced under the concept of "Authentic Korean travel told by Koreans that you can't find through searches," Suncheon City is the only location from Jeollanam-do.
The video begins with the protagonist, who is experiencing burnout, breaking away from daily life and biting into a watermelon in the Jogae Mountain valley, then shows the protagonist regaining strength to return to daily life through a templestay at Songgwangsa Temple. The video highlights Suncheon City's insight in preserving ecology, emphasizing that true rest can be felt in nature.
The city operates healing programs utilizing local resources to offer travelers a break like a comma in their busy lives. In November, various contents are prepared for tourists to gain strength, including ▲a black crane birdwatching tour where you can encounter luck ▲wild tea experience programs in a tranquil hanok (traditional Korean house) for healing ▲sound walking that listens to the sounds of nature.
