Introduction of Virtual Twin-Based Differentiated Cultural Content... Global Hub Gijang Leap
Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) announced on the 6th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dassault Syst?mes Korea (CEO Jeong Un-seong) on October 30th to collaborate on the ‘Gijang K-Culture Town Development Project.’
The ‘K-Culture Town Development Project’ is a mid- to long-term development plan to create a complex cultural town on approximately 2.64 million ㎥ of land at Jangandoe Village, linked with the Busan Gijang Filming Studio and Andersen Fairy Tale Village.
The county is planning to introduce differentiated cultural content such as ▲culture ▲food ▲shopping ▲performances ▲academy within the ‘K-Culture Town,’ aiming to establish it as a core driver of the local economy beyond just a cultural space.
This MOU was promoted to utilize Dassault Syst?mes’ ‘Virtual Twin’ technology as a core technology for the creation of ‘K-Culture Town.’ ‘Virtual Twin’ refers to technology that realizes various movements and changes in a virtual space.
Through this technology, the county plans to implement ‘K-Culture Town’ in a virtual space, simulate various development scenarios, and proceed with actual development after thorough verification. In particular, it intends to build an open platform that allows all stakeholders to participate from the conceptual stage.
