Daejeon City to Recruit 80 University Students for Winter Break Part-Time Jobs
Online Applications Accepted from 13th to 17th
Daejeon City has announced that it will recruit 80 university student part-timers to gain administrative work experience at Daejeon City Hall and affiliated organizations during the winter vacation.
The recruitment includes 31 university students from low-income households (including those in the second-lowest income bracket) who themselves or whose direct family members are registered residents of Daejeon; 40 students who are either registered residents of Daejeon or currently enrolled at universities located in Daejeon; 1 foreign student or university student with a disability registration certificate; and 8 university students who transferred their resident registration to Daejeon after enrolling (as of March 2) at a university in Daejeon.
Applicants can apply through the Daejeon Youth Portal website from 9:00 a.m. on the 13th to 6:00 p.m. on the 17th. In the first round, three times the number of available positions will be selected, after which a review of household members, year in school, age, and eligibility will be conducted. The final list of successful candidates will be announced on December 16.
The selected students will work for 18 days from January 2 to 27 next year at 21 institutions, including Daejeon City Hall, its business offices, and public corporations.
Kim Nakcheol, Director of Education Policy Strategy at Daejeon City, said, "We hope that this winter vacation part-time program for university students will provide an opportunity to participate in city administration, gain hands-on administrative experience, and deepen their understanding of municipal affairs."
