View original image‘Gyeonggi RE100’ is an energy policy pursued by Gyeonggi Province aiming to achieve 30% renewable energy by 2030. It implements 13 core tasks across four sectors: public, corporate, residents, and industry. These include public institution RE100, industrial complex RE100, RE100 special zones, RE100 villages, climate action opportunity income, and fostering climate tech discovery.
At the Gyeonggi Pavilion of this Local Era Expo, themed around ‘Gyeonggi RE100,’ three exhibition corners will be operated: △Experience Zone (game-type experiential promotion) △Policy Promotion Zone (SNS and video policy promotion) △Event Zone, introducing key policies such as climate crisis response.
First, in the ‘Experience Zone,’ visitors will promote policies through an OX game that depicts a journey of producing renewable energy by riding a bicycle to save the Earth from the climate crisis caused by increased carbon emissions and reducing carbon emissions.
Also, the ‘Policy Promotion Zone’ is a space where visitors can see the core contents of the Gyeonggi RE100 project. It features a pop-up book-style sculpture to attract visitors’ interest and provide a resting area, while QR codes make it easy to learn about the policies.
In the ‘Event Zone,’ various experiential events (such as renewable energy production experiences) will be held to communicate policies through interaction with the audience.
Kim Seong-jung, the First Deputy Governor for Administration, said, “Through Gyeonggi RE100, a core policy of our 8th term, Gyeonggi Province will create an international model case in responding to the climate crisis. We will share the province’s key policies with the public through this expo and actively garner support.”
The ‘Korea Local Era Expo’ is an event jointly hosted by the Local Era Committee, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and 17 metropolitan cities and provinces nationwide to announce the government’s strong will for balanced regional development and the dawn of the full-fledged local era.
This year, starting with the opening ceremony on the 6th and continuing until the 8th, the expo will widely promote policies and visions pursued by the government and local governments in the local era through various exhibition programs, conferences, and public participation events.
