Triple Collision in Gwanak-gu, Seoul... Driver Tests Positive for Marijuana
A man who drove under the influence of drugs and crossed the center line, hitting two vehicles in succession, was arrested by the police.
On the 5th, the Gwanak Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of drugged driving under the Special Act on Aggravated Punishment.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of driving under the influence of drugs around 4:53 p.m. the previous day on Nambusunhwan-ro in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, crossing the center line and colliding with two vehicles waiting at a signal in the opposite lane. Two drivers of the affected vehicles sustained minor injuries in the accident.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated that he had taken a tranquilizer.
Mr. A tested negative in the breathalyzer test but showed a positive reaction for marijuana in a rapid drug screening test.

The police are investigating the detailed circumstances of the case, including the source of the marijuana purchase, and plan to request an analysis of Mr. A’s hair samples while considering whether to apply for an arrest warrant.
