Gijang-gun to Conduct Joint Inspection with Busan City for 'Safe Village Buses'
28 Vehicles Across 11 Routes of 3 Transportation Companies
Inspection Targeting Village Buses (Including Gijang-gun Buses)
Busan Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) will conduct the "2024 Second Half Village Bus Vehicle Safety Management Joint Inspection" on the 5th to create a safe public transportation environment.
This safety inspection is organized to prevent village bus safety accidents and ensure passengers can use public transportation safely, and it will be carried out jointly with Busan City.
The safety inspection will target a total of 28 village buses (including Gijang-gun buses) across 11 routes operated by 3 transportation companies.
The main inspection items include ▲ compliance with automobile structure and device safety standards and operational status ▲ vehicle management conditions such as passenger convenience facilities and interior/exterior cleanliness ▲ management status of transportation workers ▲ compliance by transportation operators and workers ▲ presence of safety equipment (fire extinguishers, emergency escape hammers, etc.).
In particular, along with the inspection, the county plans to actively urge compliance with the Passenger Transport Service Act by informing about major violations such as ▲ stopping before boarding and alighting village buses and passing without stopping ▲ reckless driving ▲ use of mobile phones by transportation workers while driving.
