"Let's Eradicate Digital Sex Crimes"... Gyeongbuk Office of Education's Deepfake Prevention Campaign on the Way to School
Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) is conducting a "School Commute Campaign" over two days, on the 4th and 5th, targeting students in the province to prevent digital sex crimes through the misuse of deepfake technology.
This campaign was organized to raise students' awareness of the dangers of deepfake technology and the seriousness of related crimes, and to cultivate proper AI and digital citizenship.
Students in the Gyeongbuk region are conducting a morning campaign to raise awareness about 'deepfake sexual crime prevention.'
View original imageDuring the campaign, students will be given promotional materials for deepfake prevention, and will be actively informed about the definition of deepfake, cases of misuse, prevention methods, and how to respond if victimized, helping to raise their awareness of digital sex crimes.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to operate this campaign in all schools within the province to proactively respond to the risks of deepfake sex crimes. Furthermore, it announced that it will continue to strengthen educational activities for preventing deepfake sex crimes through signing MOUs with related organizations and forming task forces in the future.
