Namyangju City Holds Appointment Ceremony and Meeting of the Labor-Management-Civil-Government Practical Council
Namyangju City held an appointment ceremony for the Labor-Management-Civil-Government Practical Council members at the Mokmin Room in City Hall on the 31st of last month, conducted the first practical meeting of 2024, and then took a commemorative photo.
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 1st that it held an appointment ceremony for the Labor-Management-Civil-Government Practical Council members at the Mokminbang in City Hall on the 31st of last month, and conducted the first practical meeting of 2024.
The Namyangju Labor-Management-Civil-Government Practical Council is responsible for pre-reviewing and coordinating the agenda items of the main Namyangju Labor-Management-Civil-Government Council aimed at enhancing cooperation among labor, management, civil society, and government. It consists of a total of eight members, including △workers △recommended representatives of employers △local resident representatives △practical officers in charge of labor affairs at local labor offices.
The meeting began with an appointment ceremony for new members and proceeded with pre-reviewing the agenda items to be submitted to the main Labor-Management-Civil-Government Council meeting.
In response to the recently strengthened Serious Accident Punishment Act and the increased importance of industrial accident prevention activities, the members shared the city’s current status and best practices in industrial accident prevention and took time to explore directions for cooperation among labor, management, civil society, and government.
Lee Bong-gyu, chairman of the Namyangju Labor-Management-Civil-Government Practical Council, said, “I thank the members for taking time out of their busy schedules for the development of labor, management, civil society, and government,” and added, “We will do our best to help Namyangju City develop further based on the valuable opinions of the members.”

The agenda items reviewed at this practical council meeting are scheduled to be deliberated and resolved at the 2024 Namyangju Labor-Management-Civil-Government Council main meeting to be held on the 8th.
