Busan Office of Education Hosts 'Fun Family Harmony Festival'... Inviting Families with Infants and Toddlers
Promoting the Activation of Early Childhood Character Education Linked to Major Busan Education Policies
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the ‘2024 Fun Family Harmony Festival’ on the 2nd of next month at 10 a.m. at Dongbaek Park and other locations, targeting 200 families with children aged 3 to 5 attending kindergartens and daycare centers.
This event aims to promote communication and empathy through family experience programs involving both kindergartens and daycare centers, and to activate early childhood character education through various family activities linked to Busan Education Change (體仁智).
The Busan Office of Education will operate the event in three areas: ▲ Let’s Walk Together (體) ▲ Enjoy Playing with Family (仁) ▲ Share and Read Picture Books (智).
‘Let’s Walk Together (體),’ linked to the Morning Change activity, consists of programs such as ‘Park Health Walk’ and ‘Environment Keeper Plogging,’ where families walk around Dongbaek Park completing missions and promoting health.
‘Enjoy Playing with Family (仁)’ focuses on cultivating proper character through various experiences and play where families can bond. Programs include treasure hunts in nature, play kitchens, and balancing while holding mom’s hand.
‘Share and Read Picture Books (智),’ linked to the Reading Change activity, nurtures intellect and emotion through various book-related activities such as book picnics, performance viewing, and original artwork exhibitions.
The Office of Education plans to assign staff to each program to support participants in enjoying the experiences smoothly and safely.
The Busan Office of Education expects this family-friendly experiential program to play a significant role in increasing satisfaction among the educational community, including young children and parents, regarding major Busan education policies, and in fostering a healthy family community culture.
