Police Executive Referred to Prosecution for Aiding Mistress's Drunk Driving and Attempting to Help Her Flee (Comprehensive)
A senior police officer in Chungnam, identified as A, has been referred to the prosecution for aiding and abetting his mistress's drunk driving and attempting to help her escape.
A is also accused of receiving money and valuables from his mistress.
According to an Asia Economy report on the 29th, Asan Police Station recently referred A to the prosecution on charges of aiding and abetting drunk driving and helping a criminal escape.
B, A's mistress, caused a drunk driving accident in Asan at around 5:25 p.m. on the 6th. It is reported that A was in the car with her at the time.
A reportedly showed his police ID to the responding officer and claimed that he was the one driving.
In addition, A is also facing charges of violating the Anti-Graft Act by receiving money and valuables from B.
This came to light when B's ex-husband, during their divorce proceedings, reported that B had given money and valuables to A.
A police official stated, "A has been referred to the prosecution on charges of aiding and abetting a criminal escape, aiding and abetting drunk driving, and violating the Anti-Graft Act."
