Hanam-si Gam-il Health Living Support Center Receives Great Response for 'Healthy One-Meal Cooking Class'
Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) received great response by operating the ‘Healthy Meal Cooking Class,’ where participants can experience making healthy meals themselves, in line with the ‘Healthy Pleasure’ trend popular among young people, which pursues health and fun simultaneously.
According to Hanam City on the 29th, the Gam-il Health Living Support Center operated the ‘Healthy Meal Cooking Class’ from the 15th to the 29th for 24 residents of Gam-il, Gambuk, and Wirye-dong to enjoyably manage their health.
The ‘Healthy Meal Cooking Class’ is a program designed to help form proper nutritional intake habits through hands-on experience in making healthy meals.
Participants took part in cooking practice to make balanced meals such as brown rice with chicken breast, tuna poke salad, and homemade sauces, using easily accessible ingredients to add taste and nutrition while reducing calories.
One resident who participated in the program said, “I was glad to make healthy meals myself and learn the importance of healthy eating habits. Especially, thanks to learning various sauce recipes, I am really satisfied that I can make healthy food with my family at home.”
