Dongdaemun-gu, Administrative Actions Against 6 Delivery-Only Restaurants Violating Food Sanitation Act
Inspection of 90 Establishments... 6 Violations of the 'Food Sanitation Act' Detected
Checking Food Storage, Expiration Dates, and Establishment Cleanliness to Alleviate Consumer Concerns
‘Delivery-only restaurants,’ which do not serve customers on-site but only deliver cooked food, are no longer unfamiliar.
However, vague concerns about the hygiene of these restaurants still linger in consumers' minds.
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the 28th that it inspected 90 delivery-only restaurants from September 30 to October 25 to alleviate these consumer concerns and allow them to enjoy delivery food with peace of mind.
This was a re-inspection of establishments that violated the 'Food Sanitation Act' and were given on-site guidance or had complaints among the 240 delivery-only restaurants evaluated for hygiene in the first half of this year.
The district focused on checking compliance with the 'Food Sanitation Act,' including ▲food storage and management ▲expiration date adherence ▲cooking facilities ▲personal hygiene of workers.
As a result of the inspection, minor issues were immediately corrected on-site, and administrative actions such as fines are being taken against six establishments that violated hygiene standards in their kitchens.
