Hanwha Co., Ltd. Launches Volunteer Activities to Help with Harvest Season Farm Work
Remembering the Spirit of 'Together Far'
Hanwha Corporation announced on the 28th that it conducted volunteer work to assist farmers during the harvest season. A total of about 30 Hanwha employees worked hard harvesting, sorting, and tidying up farmland at an apple farm in Yeongjung-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi Province.
The harvested apples will be delivered to vulnerable households in the local community through the Seongdong Disabled Welfare Center, which has a sisterhood relationship with Hanwha Corporation. Hanwha plans to provide Onnuri gift certificates to promote regional coexistence and revitalize traditional markets.
Lee Young-chan, head of the Human Resources Support Team at Hanwha Corporation, said, "We hope that the volunteer work was meaningful and practically helpful to the local residents," adding, "We also hope that the participating employees had an opportunity to experience the value of rural regeneration."
