Ha Jung-woo Wine 'Call Me Later' Series
Newly Released Red Wine Sells Out Immediately Upon Order Start
Restocked White Wine Also Sold Out
Seven Eleven's 'Call Me Later' wine series, created in collaboration with actor Ha Jung-woo, continues its sold-out streak. This wine, known as 'Ha Jung-woo Wine,' is an art wine released under Ha's name.
According to Seven Eleven on the 24th, the initial stock of 'Call Me Later Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon' and the second batch of 'Call Me Later Russian Jack Sauvignon Blanc' were sold out immediately after orders began the previous day at Seven Eleven stores. These products went on sale nationwide at Seven Eleven stores following the orders placed the day before, and currently, all inventory at Seven Eleven's logistics centers has been depleted.

Seven Eleven anticipated a surge in orders and limited the order quantity to one bottle per store for these products. This measure was taken considering the popularity during the first sale of Call Me Later wines. However, as many store owners tried to place orders, it is reported that there was a waiting queue to access Seven Eleven's internal ordering network.
During the official launch of Call Me Later wines, a sell-out and open-run phenomenon also occurred. In August, Seven Eleven released the white wine Call Me Later Russian Jack Sauvignon Blanc. Initially, it was sold exclusively at 30 stores, and due to open-run phenomena at each store, the initial stock was completely sold out in less than 30 minutes. Later, when it was introduced to all stores in September, the prepared official stock was also sold out within three days.
The newly released Call Me Later Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine from Broadside Winery, established in Paso Robles, which is gaining attention as a rival to Napa Valley in the United States. This region, adjacent to the Pacific Ocean, has favorable conditions such as a mild climate, sea fog, and limestone clay soil, making it ideal for cultivating various red grape varieties. The wine is characterized by long aging in oak barrels, resulting in well-ripened fruit aromas, earthy scents, and notes of porcini mushrooms.
The previously released Call Me Later Russian Jack Sauvignon Blanc is a white wine produced by the New Zealand winery group Martinborough Vineyard. They practice organic farming on all their vineyards and have designed their production facilities in an eco-friendly manner, earning the SWNZ (Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand) certification. Notably, this product uses the highest quality Wairau and Awatere Valley grapes from New Zealand, offering an aromatic yet fresh fragrance.
Seven Eleven cited 'dito consumption' as the key factor behind the popularity of Call Me Later wines. Dito consumption refers to the tendency to consume following the tastes and trends of celebrities. Ha Jung-woo is known as a renowned wine enthusiast who even creates his own wine notes, and it is said that the wine's popularity is thanks to him introducing it as his 'one-pick wine' through his social media channels.
The wine's label design and story are also considered distinguishing features. The label attached to Call Me Later is one of the works presented at the 'Hit the Road' exhibition, which showcased pieces inspired by Ha's experiences and impressions during his 2022 film shoot in Morocco.
