Namyangju City Holds 'Kkumdeulim Self-Growth Camp' on Ganghwado Island
Namyangju City is conducting the "Kkumdeulim Self-Growth Camp" for out-of-school youth support centers from the 24th to the 25th, a 2-day, 1-night event held around Ganghwa Island.
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) is holding the "Kkumdeulim Self-Growth Camp" for 1 night and 2 days from the 24th to the 25th in the Ganghwa-do area, organized by the Out-of-School Youth Support Center.
This camp was prepared to help youth discover their own value and enhance their sense of belonging through community activities.
Sixteen youths participating in the camp, who use the Out-of-School Youth Support Center, spent meaningful time through various activities such as △leisure sports (luge & gondola) △learning about Dasan Jeong Yak-yong △recreation △career special lectures △cultural experience learning (recycling media art exhibition experience and Sinmun-ri Art Museum) and team activities.
A parent of one of the students who participated in the camp said, "I hope the children communicate with friends and have beneficial experiences through this camp," and added, "Thanks to the support of Namyangju City and the teachers, the children are able to have various experiences, which is a great strength as a parent."
Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju City, seeing off the youths, said, "Namyangju City is doing its best to help youths nurture their dreams through various experiences, and we will continue to show ongoing interest and support for youth," and added, "I hope they spend a safe and enjoyable 1 night and 2 days."
