The “Dangjin City Pledge Project Citizens’ Evaluation Panel,” established and operating since November 2022, provides annual feedback on all pledge projects and is responsible for approving necessary adjustments such as changes or abolishment of certain projects.
During the meeting, the panel presented their opinions on the implementation performance and progress of pledge projects up to the third quarter of this year and approved amendments for nine projects requiring changes in their plans or directions.
The city has finalized a total of 91 pledges across six major fields and has been faithfully carrying out these pledge projects to date.
Mayor Oh Seonghwan said, “Dangjin City received the highest (SA) grade in the ‘2024 National Pledge Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation for Heads of Local Governments’ conducted by the Korea Manifesto Implementation Headquarters,” and added, “I will be a mayor who works directly in the field to fulfill the remaining promises.”
Meanwhile, according to the city’s self-inspection results on the progress of pledge projects (as of the third quarter of 2024), the implementation rate for the 91 pledges made by Mayor Oh Seonghwan’s 8th administration stands at 98.9% (with a completion rate of 31.9%). The results of the self-inspection and any changes will be transparently disclosed on the city’s website in October after reflecting the panel’s feedback.
